Pulmonology is a branch of medical science that is currently experiencing very rapid progress and development in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, new discoveries and knowledge are appearing every day, not limited to the practice of pulmonologists but also in general practitioners for emergency pulmonary treatment in Emergency Room and PUSKESMAS.
To realize the role of medical personnel in handling respiratory health problems in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine, Airlangga University, Surabaya in advancing medical education in Indonesia will hold a pulmonary education symposium and workshop called PKB Paru XVIII 2020 Surabaya with the theme "Respiratory Medicine Updates in Pandemic Era".
By holding this event, it is hoped that develops of Pulmonology Medicine can be disseminated and be able to increase the competence of doctors in Indonesia so that they can improve the health status of the Indonesian people, especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, it can add insight to the participants, for pulmonologists, general practitioners, medical students and medical personnel so that they can work better in handling people with respiratory diseases in the future.
